Steve continues to perform solo concerts throughout the country, showcasing his artistry and virtuosity at the piano. Through his classical music background and varied experiences in the musical theatre, gospel and country music businesses, Steve has the ability to entertain a vast array of audiences. By playing favorites from the classical repertoire and flamboyant arrangements of popular tunes, Steve’s solo concerts encompass musical favorites for all audiences. His two latest original musicals for the Brooklyn Children’s Theatre, based on popular children’s books, will be performed in late 2009. Steve is also developing several stage and industrial projects with New York directors and choreographers.

Steve is freelancing as a Vocal Director for Royal Caribbean International. After teaching shows to performers at Royal Caribbean Cruise Line’s rehearsal studios in Hollywood, Florida, Steve accompanies the cast to their ship for a short installation process.

Steve served as Musical Director and performed in several cities with the national tour of I LOVE YOU, YOU’RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE.

2008

Steve took over as the Music Director for I LOVE YOU, YOU’RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE at Off-Broadway’s West Side Theatre in New York City for its final months. The show closed in late summer after more than 5,000 performances.

Steve took a full time position with Mattel at their flagship store The American Girl Place. He served as Asst. Musical Director for CIRCLE OF FRIENDS, a 90 minute musical which played 4 times daily in their state-of-the-art theatre.

Steve’s second musical, THE LUPINE LADY, was produced by the Brooklyn Children’s Theater this summer. Last year he was commissioned by the theater to compose music for a new work, LITTLE GOLDEN HOOD which premiered in December of 2007.

2007

Steve played piano and served as Musical Director for FORBIDDEN BROADWAY “Rude Awakening” which opened Off-Broadway on October 2nd. Pictures from opening night can be found in the “Gallery” section of this web site. Reviews of the show were quite positive and included great comments about Steve’s playing. Steve’s photo was featured in the New York Times.

Steve vocally arranged and recorded the opening of the 2007 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Over 600 children from around the country sang the song “Making Magic” written specially for the parade.

Other arrangements of Steve’s were performed throughout the country with Camp Broadway this summer. He also music directed and conducted THE SOUND OF MUSIC at the Yorktown Stage.

2006

Steve worked on productions of Martin Short’s FAME BECOMES ME, Tommy Tune’s DR. DOLITTLE and a new work – MISTER FABULOUS.
